If you follow me on instagram, I’m sure you’ve seen the news: Mas Vino Please x Wonderwerk wines are back baby — and better than ever! We are relaunching Como La Flor, Chismosa and introducing our brand new vino: Sol Y Mar just in time for all your summer lovin’.
This project is so special to me because it honors and celebrates the beauty of latinidad and everything that makes it unique. I hope these wines capture and share that story with you, wherever and however you drink them. This week has been a bit of a blur but I recapped last weekend in the latest installment of Wine Weekends on Youtube. I drank some good wine, celebrated with Wonderwerk in Encinitas and saw our wines on shelves for the very first time. <3
A Bit About the Vinos
This year, Como La Flor is a little chilly!! We didn’t set out to make a chilled red, but damn is she good when served at 50 degrees. Same gorgeous spiced velvet, but a bit lighter on her feet: made of Grenache, Tempranillo, Malbec and Mencia, so you can definitely enjoy this with your favorite BBQ meals.
Chismosa is the same sparkling rose queen as always, but this time with a touch of Syrah (alongside Gewurtztraminer, pinot gris and Montepulciano). Like a proper Chismosa, she loves everything spicy!
And finally, Sol Y Mar! The new-new: fresh and ready for summer. This wine was made for hot summer days, lounging on the beach with fruta or ceviche in hand. 100% vermentino Pet-Nat with a kiss of skin contact (only 24 hours, so not quite an orange wine). Tasting notes? TROPICAL BEACHES, SAND IN YOUR TOES AND A SALTY BREEZE ON SUNKISSED SKIN, BABY! Lots of ripe pineapple, cucumber, pomelo, and a spritz of salt. You want this wine. You NEED this wine. There are limited cases available though, so act quick!
This year, we decided to skip online orders (I’m sorry!) but they will be available across California! If you’re a buyer, hit up your local Amy Atwood rep to place an order. If you’re just a girl or guy who likes to drink wine, hit up your local shops and let them know you want the goods! Current placements in LA include: Silverlake Wine, Highland Park Wine, Tilda, both Vinovore, Wine Country, Bar Bandini, and Gus’ Community Market and more. We’re hoping to have distribution outside California soon, but we’ll keep you posted on that!

I wanted to celebrate the wines with a launch party, but I think the best way to celebrate is with all y’all so I’m planning a bunch of awesome things with some of my favorite people and places in town! THIS THURSDAY, I’ll be with Vinovore at the Silverlake Pool & Inn sippin’ til sunset so come taste the wines and buy a bottle or two! Tickets here!

sad I can't try. do you have recommendation for a wine that is simalar to yours that I could try, but can get in minnesota at my wine store??
