Last October, I collaborated with my friends, Wonderwerk, to create a truly one of a kind vino, Como La Flor. We set out to make a wine that unified Wonderwerk's skill and craftsmanship in low intervention winemaking and the unexpected yet approachable Mas Vino Please winestyle. The wine sold out almost immediately and for the last year, we’ve received constant and persistent DMs to “bring it back”. Well, baby, SHE’S BACK!

But since we have just TOO MUCH FUN doing wine things, we also created a NEW wine, Chismosa — a sparkling blushing beauty that’s perfect for sharing during a little chisme sesh with las primas and I KNOWWWW you’re gonna love it.
These wines celebrate the beauty of Latinidad. When I started to work on this project, I wanted to create a wine that spoke to my community at the intersection of all the things that make us unique as a culture; something we could identify with and know was made with love and respect. I hope people will see themselves reflected back in these bottles and celebrate their own beauty and energy.
Como La Flor (2022) is the second vintage of a wine collaboration between Wonderwerk and myself. The wine is a sultry, velvety red wine made from carbonic montepulciano and old vine carignan (130 year old vines!) and is infused with fresh rose geranium, which was hand harvested locally. The wine is aromatic and deep like a bouquet of fresh cut red roses with notes of cranberry, black currant and plum. It's truly one of a kind -- inspired by my great grandmother Blanca and named with an ode to the queen, Selena Quintanilla.
Chismosa (2022) is a sparkling rose-esque wine that is meant to share with friends, primas, or whoever you love to spill the chisme with. The wine is a blend of Gewurtztraminer, skin contact Pinot Gris, carbonic Montepulciano, and rose geranium. This wine SPARKLES! Lots of fizz and aromatic rose, plus notes of grapefruit juice and citrus rind.
Both wines are infused with hand harvested, organic rose geranium and produced with organic grapes, sourced from some of the best vineyards in California using low intervention winemaking methods.
