I've never been one for gift guides-- they feel forced and contrived (which I talked about last year in my No Gift Guides, Just Gamay newsletter last year). But I DO believe in treating yourself to something nice around the holidays.
I like to treat myself to experiences: a fancy pop-up, a nice dinner, a weekend getaway, a rare bottle of wine or a book. Those are little luxuries I love to treat myself or others.
Obviously, I think Chismosa and Como La Flor would be the best way to treat yourself (or someone else!) if you want to go the wine route! Be sure to purchase before 12/19 if you want to receive before the holidays!!
As we close out the last couple weeks of the year, I want to say thank you to all who continue to subscribe, purchase wine, attend events and support Mas Vino Please. This community only exists because you all are so awesome and supportive.
This might be the last newsletter of 2023 (not sure, I might send out one last holiday wine round up). I’m very tired and I think I need a couple weeks to chill and reset and enjoy some time offline with the people and things I love. I hope you also take some time this month to relax and reset.

Wine Term You Should Know:
"Malo" or Malolactic fermentation
(No, not bad in Spanish!) It's actually a really good thing! It's the process in which malic acid (tart) turns to lactic acid (creamy). And it's not actually fermentation at all, its more like bacteria eating the malic acid and pooping it out as lactic acid so your wine is less acidic and more velvety! yay! I told you it was a good thing!
